my candy coral is starting to look hard in a few of the heads... is this from lack of food or light. all paras are ok... could the flow be a factor? it is in a pretty hi flow area. is it doomed? should i place it somewhere else? feed it more ? any help is appreciated!

They do not care for really high flow. Also your lighting should be fine just not to high up.

My current CC has been with me going on 10yrs now. It has done well with PC and now with MH's. I dont understand what you mean by "hard". I dont target feed it but I dose with phyto. Can you post a pic? Mine is placed in the middle and an indirect flow. Luna

Same here, mine is getting minimal flow, but with a decent amount of light.. 48 watts over 5.5 gallon.. I don't feed mine and they are getting ready to split.....
