Hey, Ill be setting up a 75gallon aquarium in my room but it wont be permanent. Ill have it for just over a year. Would a canister filter registered for like 125G be an okay trade for a sump? I dnot want to incorporate a sump yet, not until i have the money and space.

A fluval 305 or 405 would be fine. I have run a 305 on my 55g for a year with no sump and no problems. It's good to have a bit of liverock too as biological filter.
