Canister Filter for a 50 gal

Just scrolled back and watched the video,with all that rock and good flow biological filtration shouldn't be a problem.Stocking seems to be happening quickly,take it slow and good luck.

NIce tank, how old is it up and running?
I started with a cannister and a HOB filter. Sold the cannister on CL, and gave away the HOB.
I'm in ther don't use a cannister crowd, and yes, it can be done.
All you really need is tha HOB PS- if it works, and some powerhead/fans in the tank, along with your LR.

I can help you make a quick, easy sump. They don't all have to be an acrylic or an old tank! My 50g sump in not.

I've been running my fluval 305 for over a year now with charcoal purigen and dry rock with no issues. Just keep it clean once every two weeks like said above. I just have problems with zoas, not sure why.

 

so it looks like fluval is the canister filter of choice .
i will be getting one of those for myself then
the only thing i dont understand is
is there a difference between the 305 and 306 model?
