    Hello there,

I've been thinking lately about purchasing a phosphate removing media, my phosphates are not high "so far considering its a new tank", i tested and it never passed the 0.5-1 mark "almost always at 0.25 or less", but i still need to lower it more to be more confident, but the question is:

i'm using eheim ecco canisters, where "or after what type of media" would you place your phosphate remover media?

i was thinking about this order "from top to bottom":
    1- coarse "blue" pad
2- carbon "black" pad that comes with filter "willbe removed next week".
    3- white fine pad.
4- 800 micron socks filled with needed amount of phoguard "seachem".
    5- eheim pro substrate

would that work or did i get something reversed? would someone recommend activated carbon "seachem matrix carbon" in a replacement of the "carbon pad" eheim has already?

    thanks.

I think that would work and I would use the seachem carbon.

Thanks for your quick response, would the carbon "sock" still go in the same order above? "replacing the black pad with a single sock?"
