    Thanks for the input everyone. appreciate it. Confirmed what i had been reading that its a pain in the ass for little benefit! DIY sump it is then!

    thanks again everyone.

    my tank is a 46bf and ive got a 20g im going to turn into a sump. plan on keeping a mix of smaller friendly fish, and plenty of corals.

    Great choice. A sump would definitely be your best option. You should start a tank build thread... we love pics. :D
