    I have a 46 gal i just set up. I am going to prob have a metal halide fixture. Should I do away with a glass canopy as far as gas exchange is concerned?? Thanks

    Yes I would take off the glass canopy.. they hold inn heat as well as gasses.. Open top is always a good idea... Unless you have kids :D.. then you should have a hood of some sort..
