    Mine ate a lot but was still so skinny and ended up dieing after a month.

    Correct. Just a "Watchman Goby" from the Cryptocentrus family.

    He may, but it is not a true sand-sifting goby. Those are from the Valenciennea family such as the Diamond, Sleeper Banded, Tiger Wardi, etc. These will sift sand all day long in search of food.

    I had a Diamond goby and he lived for two years then died in a tank nuke while I was in vacation. Now I have a pink spot and he eats what ever comes his way. But the pink spot are watchmen from what I hear. He does sand sift though. He also like to grab the hermits and random shells to decorate his cave. Really cute!
