Can't Find Dead Fish..Should I Run Extra Carbon?

Sorry for all the posts lately...having kind of a semi disaster with ich (this is what I get for going on vacation). So my male clown disappeared yesterday and I am 99% positive he succumbed to the ich and is dead ...either the anemone ate him (possible i think) or he is jammed under a rock in the tank somewhere. I can't find him and remove him, so should I run extra carbon in the filter as an ammonia spike preventative? I also notice there's other stuff available to run in a filter as an ammonia remover, just wondering about that stuff. Unfortunately i must leave my tank again, but only until friday (National Title ticket, WOOT). So I want to try to make sure everything will be in as good a order as it can be for the day i will be gone.

 

if you have snails hermit crabs and a good clean up crew I wouldn't worrie about running anything extra

 

yea, well the problem is that my burrowing snails and cleaner shrimp apparently didn't take care of a fish i lost during winter break, it looked like it had been in there a while, so im concerned about this one being taken care of. i think what im going to do for sure is get some more snails before i leave. Im thinking this might do the trick. Thanks for the idea

 

i run a ton of blue leg hermit crabs and also some narssours snails they make short work of anything dead.

 

they are cheep too. a buck a crab by me.
