Can't find flex tubing

    Flexible PVC will be aquarium safe.

    One reason people use flexible PVC is its easier to plumb. Also, it doesn't restrict flow as much as 90's and 45's.

    The con is that it doesn't look as pretty and professional as hard plumbed PVC.

    Is spa flex that clear tubing at Home Depot?

    Thank you, but my sump/refug is under the stand with closed doors. Not many people will see my sump. And I really dig function/efficiency over looks when it comes to plumbing a reef.

    Spa Flax tubing is awesome! I got mine at Menards. Similiar to a HD or Lowes.

    The advantage is no sharp bends, not even 45's in you return line.

    The cons- havent found any cons yet.

    I'm using 1" I got from Menards. Similar to a HD or Lowes.

    I was referring to drain-pipe flex lines, they come in 1" and 1.5" sizes.

    Generally your LFS should stock them. Pools/Spa can stock them as well, but they are usually much longer there ;p
