    Hey,

I have a yellow wrasse that I have had for 2 years and it is a great fish. Two months ago I moved him and his friends from a 58 gallon to a 210 gallon tank and the new lights run from 10am-10pm on different settings. The old lights ran from 12-10pm on a single daylight setting. The problem is he always goes to sleep around 8ish. Doing the math I can see that is probably what he is used to, but I don't normally get a chance to feed my fish until after 8:00 so he is only eating every few days. He also eats off of algae sheets I put in there every few days too. Should I be concerned? Will he eventually stay up later like the rest of the fish?

I think it will adjust to your new schedule eventually. It should be fine eating the pods in your tank as well as whatever it does eat otherwise.

Yeah, it seems content but I would feel better if I saw it eat more regularly. Speaking of pods...I saw a huge one clinging to a piece of coral yesterday. I had never see and that size in my main display tank before...maybe they get eaten too fast :)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. He should eventually adjust. If he was hungry, he'd stay up till lights out; I'm willing to bet he's getting his fill of food on his own.

This is a very common problem in men. There's nothing to be ashamed of. You can take a variety of medicines- Viagra, cialis... Have a talk with your doctor to see what you should be on.

LOL JK but yes I think once your wrasse gets hungry enough he should stay up for food.

He'll adjust to the new schedule. I'm a late nighter and often when I bring home new wrasse they go to bed at like 7pm because that's what they did in the store. But after a few weeks they get on my time :)

Ours apparently slept all day in the store before we bought him. The guy said they all went to bed about 3 or 4 pm. We didn't see him for 9 days after putting him in the tank, he was only coming out during the day when the lights were out. He's adjusted. He now goes to bed about 1 minute before the lights go out, though sometimes he gets caught by surprise (have no idea why). We even run the lights an hour later on Saturday & Sunday and he still goes to bed 1 minute before they go out. Yours will eventually adjust.
