    they tend to do it alot more when the lights are off. If i keep having issues with them few, ill take them out and get more to replace them with.

    i couldn't help it. give them some time to adjust, it seems to be a response from stress. From the wild to the tanks for us is like 20 minutes so we I don't see that behavior so much. No lids here. The nerites like the top but don't usually commit suicide. See if it subsides by the end of the week.
