Can't make up my mind

Hey guys well my tomini tang didn't come in because of a back order so now I'm having second thoughts I like the purple but have had mixed reviews and I know the tomini will be fine but I like the purple, still it will be a lightly stocke d90 that it will be in and a four foot 70 gallon qt I can decide help

 

for the long haul a tomini would be better, since a purple gets so large... but if you think you will upgrading to a 6ft tank then get the purple.... also depends on the size of the purple you would get...if you got a full grown adult purple im gonna say no in a 90 gallon

 

Joints going tone small and I will probably upgrade to a big tank at least 6 feet maybe more ill get a purple thanks

 

Still shopping for that yes. 2 different sites have overwhelmingly warned against it. If you are just going to do it anyway, why keep asking? I know you are young, but surely you are old enough to be at least a little bit responsible and can understand the reasons 95% of the people you have asked are giving for why it's a bad idea? This hobby requires a lot of patience, responsibility, & maturity, and those are things you are going to really need in life as you get older. Not to mention the responsibility for other living creatures and knowing that in life you cannot disregard other living creatures just because you want it. I love tigers, but I would never consider chaining one up in my hall bath.

And what are your parents going to do when you get that expensive fish & it dies of ich caused by stress, taking all the other expensive fish with it?

 

+1000 Absolutely. Do not purchase animals on the pretense that you will upgrade your tank later. This rarely happens. Upgrade the tank first then buy appropriate sized fish for that tank. Thats good aquarium husbandry and being a responsible reefer.

 

I pay for all my fish my self and right now we are planning on a big 180 plus fowlr so I'm not worried I have no worry of not upgrading my dad loves fish more than I do and were going to put the probably 265 downstairs which will be plenty of room

 

Excellent reasons to hold off on the Purple Tang. ^^^

When you get the bigger tank going, you will want to add the Purple last, as it will be one of the most aggressive fish. By then, the Tomini will be well established, with a greater chance that they will all get along. Good thinking.

 

Talked to my dad said were going to order the big tank when he gets back from his trip so good thanks Guys happy that I'm getting a bigger tank I'm still keeping my 90 as a reef the bigger tank will be a fowlr

 

And I didn't get the tomini tang because of back order so the big tank will have 2 other tangs or such
