    ;D Hello,

Been having trouble raising my calcium level  Its around 320 right now and the lowest i've seen it. My Magnesium is at 1400, alk 10 I Went through a bottle of Calcion I was dosing about 30ml per day and most I saw it at was 360 and now im back at 320. I've tried 2 different type of test kits and get the same number. Any suggestions on how to raise it up slowly and safely? 8)

that is strange , you could try calcium chloride, you can get it at bulk reef supply, allot cheaper then buying off the self supplement.

also try using the calculator in the menu it will tell you exactly how much to add to get to the number you want.

if your problem persists(its a constant problem that reoccurs), it may end up being worth it to look in to a calcium reactor.

Brightwell aquatics Calcion, I used Kent before that worked well for the most part but Just as the bottle was about to finnish I started to see a drop in the calcium. Its a 45 gallon with a 20 gallon sump/fuge. I mostly have softies and a few LPS, Candycane about the size of a softball, Frogspawn and a Pineapple lps. Also have 2 clams ones about 5 inches and other is about 3. I've noticed alot of growth on both clams lately but I don't think they are using up that much calcium?

I would say they are using the cal. I dose 40m/l a day in my 55 and it will still drop a little in 2 weeks, 30ml a day isn't that much especially if you have clams.

also are you dosing alk at all?

raise your magnesium a little to like 15-1600 then test ca then add if needed. it'll help keep ca up when the mg is up they work together

+1 to that , my cal was 450, I slowly rasied my mag from 1400 to 1600 (other issues) and my cal jumped to 550..lol.
