Can't stand the noise!

I cannot stand the noise from the air line with the adjustable air valve coming from the inlet side of the submerged pump on my Odyssea skimmer. I finally have the sump and overflow quieted down and now this? I turn the adjustment valve closed to reduce the air output but that changes the skimmer production negatively. Any thoughts on quieting this down?

 

Is there a silencer on the air line on that particular model?

 

what you need to do (something that was recommended to me) is take a medicine bottle and drill 2 holes through the lid. Slide the skimmer airline in one of the holes and use whatever tubing you have for the other one..dead silent. World of a difference
