I HAVE A TON OF CORALINE, WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL BUT i CAN'T CONTROL IT. IT IS GROWING ALL THE TIME AND IT'S REALLY HARD TO REMOVE FROM THE FRONT GLASS OF THE TANK. NOT TO MENTION IT'S SUCKING UP MY CALCIUM. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING AND IS THERE ANYWAY TO CONTROL IT.

It is happening due to favorable conditions of coralline algae!!! This is really a good thing and I don't think altering this will benefit you and your tank IMO!!! To remove it from your glass, a credit card or sharp flat object should suffice and remove it. I know personally, that Diadema Urchins(black long-spined urchin) will do an awesome job of consuming coralline and other macro and micro- algaes!!!!!
I would just continue to add strontium and calcium/alkalinity additives to maintain your optimal levels!

Oh I am not complaining, it's just hard to maintain! I would gladly give you some if you were near me. Scrape a small amount off your LR and put it in front of a powerhead...this will blow spores into your tank and help with the spread of coraline.

Just let the Ca. and Carbonates fall off a little it will slow up Don't let them drop to much at once. Say Ca at 400 lower it to 375 and about the same percentage for the carbonates if adding any supplements also lower them also . until you get the growth you want. I try to keep this one in check also it will take over.
