This May ORA will be releasing two species of Mandarins, the Blue Mandarin (Synchiropus splendidus) and the Spotted Mandarin (Synchiropus picturatus)! To have commercially bred Mandarins/Dragonettes soon available to everyone is exciting and may have a profound impact on the industry. Hobbyists have had a hard time with Mandarins as the wild ones are finicky eaters. These ORA Mandarins have been trained to eat commercially available frozen foods. ORA hopes to even have them eating pellet foods by their release date. This is a big, big win for ORA, the wild Dragonettes and us. Cheers ORA!

Wow, I'd give all the karma I have on the forums to them if I could. This is great for reefers and great for the environment!

That's awesome. I really hope they aren't too expensive. I will definitely be getting one if they aren't. Keep us updated Matt if you hear anything about prices.

That's very awesome, I'm just curious to see how their colors are and how they progress. Tank bred clowns in general do not have nearly as robust colors as wild clowns, probably something to do with inbreeding. But still, this is really great for the hobby and the oceans.

Interesting question. Seeing them up close, I can attest that they were very, very colorful. They mocked me as I tried to photograph them though and my pics were bad. The ORA pics are very accurate.
