When I was 16, I got a 1985 chevy S10 Blazer that was a 4x4. I had state farm insurance with my mom. I paid something like $85 a month for liability only with a $500 deductable. I eventually bought a Chevy Cavalier that was a year old, but the basic model. I had full coverage on that for only something like $67 a month because it was my 2nd car, and was considered a luxury car or something like that. I didn't have high insurance rates because the vehicle I drove the most was older and wouldn't cost that much to replace. It was also a safe vehicle to drive and not likely to be stolen lol.

Rebuilt title says it all. I wouldn't get it. You will never know what is exactly wrong with it, and you may always have that car in the shop being repaired for one reason or another.

Scion Tc's are great cars. They are mechanically the same as a Carolla S. The other ones are rebodied standard carollas.
And take it from a mechanic, you don't want any of those cars in the top ten of that list.

You are looking at higher insurance rates with those two cars. I would just go with the truck and get a good job. I worked year around and ran Cross Country and Track in high school lol. But of course gas was only like $0.90 a gallon back then as well.

I'm not saying don't get one. I would just go with something older and that isn't sporty as my first car is all. You are only 16, it's cool to just have a car. I know my High School was in the middle of a corn field as well lol. One of buddy's car you could start with a screw driver lol
