So my brother decided to use some red slime removal, and his skimmer has been off for the past week. And he tried turning on his skimmer today and it's bubbling a lot, small tiny bubbles.. I told him to run carbon to get rid of it and then run his skimmer, is that the right thing to do? any extra advice or carbon would be fine?

To add to what Inwall said I'd also cut the skimmer back and keep it skimming as it will help break down and pull out the antibiotics and the carbon will for sure pull them from the water . But the added oxygenation if the water from the skimmer will be a plus
