    I need suggestions on a good carbon brand to be run in an MR1 reactor.

    How dense are the foam spacers? I think BRS has a good product. I use the pellets and they get into the cells of the foam spacers on the BRS reactors. It uses a foam like in Fluval canisters.

    Im a fan of Seachems, Matrix carbon

    its very open pore so does not clog easily , its about 3 - 4 mils round shape mean
    it does not compact and water can flow through it easily

    Next reef foam is a bit more dense than that.

    I love seachem products and can get it for dirt cheap so I'll go ahead and buy a bin of that.
