Do you run carbon? If so, what kind?

I'm starting up a diy carbon reactor, and was wondering what kind of carbon I should use!!

You can use any carbon you can find as long as its not acid washed, coal granular, or coconut in 8x30,12x30 ,12x40 is used for water 4x8 or pellet is used for air however it can be used for water you just do not get the same surface area the smaller size you can get more carbon in filter with all the brand names it is still carbon ,and carbon will not leach any thing back to tank when it is spent it just stops filtering

Nope! Never have in my current system. Don't run filter socks/sponges either.
