I was thinking of getting a banggai, is there another cardinal you guies had in mind. My main concern is, how will my maroon interact with a cardinal. Will it kill it, i think thats more straight forward.
    Thank you,
    Griffin

Your Damsels might kill it. There's always a Pajama Cardinal, but still, your Damsels might kill it.

I know that your yellow tang, hippo tang, and damsel could possibly drive the poor guy insane(kill eventually). If you really want him, while you are acclimating him, rearrange a few rocks to throw the rest of the fish off of territory.

My pajama cardinal pushes my damsel around. He doesn't take his crap. Little punk.

My old neighbor has a Maroon clown for 8 years. It was pretty fiesty and held its own. I picked up a pair of ORA b. cardinals a month ago or so and they are great fish but very shy. I would rearrange the rocks a bit at least.

I have a pair of mated Banggai's in my tank, they're def my favorite Cardinal. They hold their own with my pair of clowns and anyone else, everyone gets along though. However, I did add them all within the same month so territory hadn't been very established yet. +1 on re-arranging if possible to re-establish territory and lower aggression. Also try to match size for your maroon, a small cardinal will def prob get bullied.

Here's my male holding, they're such awesome looking fish IMO
