Hey, I've been hearing some talk about Buddha and Bengai Cardinals going on the endangered species list. Is this true or is it just another hoax?

I thought that they were bred in captivity. Is the aquarium industry responsible or natural decline of their environment.

These species are in trouble from overfishing for the hobby and from other factors. I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen. Luckily we can tank breed them so they'll stay in the hobby.

Well that's kind of why I asked. I heard that their numbers are dwindling in the wild because quite a lot of people are taking mass amounts from the ocean for the main purpose of breeding in captivity for export to other countries. And as a result, their numbers in the wild are slowly declining. :(
