The Kent is basically aragonite with some Magnesium thrown in.

The Caribsea mud is aragonite but also includes Iron and other things to help grow macroalgaes in the fuge.

If its for a refugium may want to look into the cheapest Cat litter Like Wal Marts Kozy Cat its just clay with about every mineral you can name in it as its quarried from a old sea bed add water and you get magic mud or what ever its called Its better then anything else or as good. About 3.00 for a huge bag. But it is the cheap stuff. I have set up plenty of fuges with it for many people ad all are very happy with its use.

    Jay,

Clay kitty litter is a natural zeolite. Most of it is mined and it's called Clinoptilolite. It's very similar to the zeolites that zeovit is made of. Kitty litter was originally used in freshwater planted tanks and then it migrated to reef tanks.

Here's some info on zeolites Zeolite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some people are saying that you can lose Potassium with kitty litter and others don't think it's a big deal. Reef Central Online Community - Do we need a Potassium article / sticky?

I used the Kent stuff in my last tank. To the best of my knowledge it just looks like agronite to me.
