    Hello! :wacky:
I'm interested in purchasing a sea apple and seem to be having a hard time finding good information on them. I'm hoping to find someone that has had experience keeping them and can give me some advice on how to keep it happiest. I understand the risk in buying one, and that is why I'm asking, so that I can learn as much as I can in order to get one and keep it with success. If I were to get one it would be in about 3 weeks.
    My tank:
    72 gal bowfront.
I'm in the process of having it become a reef.
    Corals I have now:
    -frogspawn
    -trumpet
    -zoas
    -toadstool leather
    -Favia brain
    My fish/ other critters:
    -pair of ocellaris clowns
    -3 pj cardinals
    -cherub pygmy angel
    -algae blenny
-2 RBTA anemones (mine recently split)
    - A HUGE black longspine urchin
    -3-4 hermits

    Equipment:
My lighting is composed of mostly LEDs with a strip of fluorescent lights.
I keep most of my equipment, skimmer, heater, and phosban reactor in the sump below my tank, so the only pieces of equipment that are actually in the aquarium are my overflow, and three powerheads (which I'm hoping to replace with a vortech by the end of December)

Alright well there is my tank...anything else that would help with giving me advice on a sea apple?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give! ;D

Thanks for the reply! Did you have any troubles with yours other than it going towards the overflow?
I'm trying to get an idea of how many people actually have them "spit out their guts" when they're kept rather than dying naturally and not causing problems. :p Since that is the only thing holding me back ATM.

I've had a sea apple in my 90 gallon SPS tank for about 1 year and a half. I feed the whole tank 1-2 times per week in the evening alternating with frozen oyster eggs, Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Phyton and TM Pro-Coral. I've seen the sea apple grow by about 15-20% in the 18 months I've had it!

It's great to here that you've had success so far! ;D
I believe I asked a question on the other thread so I'll just leave it at that on this one... :)

    Sea Apple Care

Hi! I've had my sea apple for roughly a year with no issues (so far). He just sits in the front of the tank filtering his food. He doesn't open as wide as he used to, though. You'll want to make sure your water is very mature. The man who I had bought the tank from had it for six years. So the older the water, the better for the Sea Apple.
