    the 20 pairs in a 20 gallon was an exaggeration, i was only trying to make a point that you can fit up to 3 pairs in a 5 gallon aquarium. they dont need much room and in fact they cant live in that much room because the concentration of brine shrimp is very little so they will likely starve, unless you pack it with brine shrimp but then that is bad for the aquarium

    I understand what you mean though. Because these are sedentary creatures, they won't move much, so in turn they do not need much room. Horses will need to be "hand-fed" at start, probably using a pipet. This will ensure that the horses get their food, and their isn't much to clean up.

    it sounds easy but i have had a tank full of these guys and it is nearly impossible to hand feed them, with a pipet. they will refuse to eat it it just stresses them.

    ha thanks i couldnt quite think of the name of it. also the filter would be enough flow. in my seahorse tank it was 5 gallons i didnt have a filter, just a couple airstones underneath the live rock. i just did 50 percent water changes every week or so

    Will just compact florescent bulbs work for the cactus caulerpa?

    yes they do not need overly strong light.
