    just picked up a juvenile male tonight. never had a flasher wrasse before. should i get the female also or should have i gotten her first ? thanks for any input.

    No, you don't need a female, and quite frankly, I doubt if you could find one. Another male from a different species will keep yours flashing.

    hello and thanks for the input. i have a 66 gallon corner aquarium with live rock and soft corals. i really like the mccoskers flasher wrasse. do you think this would be too small for two different males ? i do not want the fighting but flashing at each other would work.

    What are the dimensions of the tank? I'm not familiar with a 66 corner.

    the side panels are 28" long, 25.5" high. the front is a bow front. it is a aqua vim aquarium.

    I have a McCoskers flasher wrasse in my 75. He flashes when the lights come on and swims across his territory. He also calmly flashes at my female tierra anthias.

    Ok, then yes, I think it is fine for either another Flasher male of a different species, or a smaller Fairy wrasse. What else do you have in the tank?

    sand sifting goby
    cleaner shrimp
    tuxedo urchin
    royal gramma
    court jester joby
    2 false percula clowns
    and now the carpenter's wrasse
    and probably around 40lbs of fiji rock

    Hmm, well you are nearing (or already at) a fully stocked tank (for fish anyways). I would leave the tank as it is for a while and so how everything does.
