I have a new puppy, that we're working on potty training. Needless to say, we're going to probably want to get the carpets cleaned once he gets the hang of it. My tank stand is on the carpet in the room we're going to get cleaned. Is there anything I need to worry about?

Cautious, not worried! im not sure what method of carpet cleaning will be done, but if they are using detergents there is always a chance some gets in the tank be it thru spalshing or vaporising. make sure there is good airflow thru the room and that the tank is covered.

I was thinking of possibly throwing a garbage bag over the whole thing, just for while they do it. Should I leave it on there for a bit after they finish? Hopefully it'll be early summer and nice out when we get it done so I can open all the windows up!

thats an idea, oxygen levels shouldnt suffer that much. having all the windows open is also a good idea.

It'll be cheaper to buy your own carpet cleaner. I bought one back in 1997 & still use it. It's the kind that can also be used on hard floors (5 rotating brushes). Definitely worth the expense if you have pets, cuz eventually that dog will get old and will be after your carpets again LOL.

I always just use very hot water in mine, as the soap leaves a residue that attracts dirt.
