    2 weeks ago I lost my candy hogfish to jumping without a parachute. He was crispy when I (err my dog) found him the next morning in my office. I was pretty bummed as the guy/gal was a really nice example and I always hate losing fish. Came home today from a job-site to grab some paper work. I sit at my desk to print it out when I hear an odd wet sound. I turn to look at my tank and only 2 anthias are in there and I'm thinking - here we go again...I look beside the tank and the floor is wet and the missing anthias is flopping around like mad. That wet sound was obviously the fish hitting the floor. Needless to say I scoop her up and toss her back in - didn't miss a beat; right back in to the group.

    So with this happening twice in 2/3weeks I think it's time that something has to be done.

    Glass isn't option (reef) so what else out there? What are you guys doing to keep your fish in the water?

    Bulk Reef Supply has clear screen material that can used for making a cover.

    Sorry to hear about your jumpers, here's the info on the BRS DIY mesh top. I love mine after putting it on my 70g cube, I have a MH pendant over it, no issues at all & all my corals are happy as ever & all my fish are alive n' well!

    You can def get all the materials you need (framing, frame corners, spline, spline roller) from Home Depot or Lowes and just get the 1/4 mesh via BulkReefSupply: Clear 1/4" Screen Netting 6.5' x 2.5' - English

    I had a blue spotted jaw that went carpet surfing last week :(

    He was okay for some time until I added my snowflakes. Sigh

    I should've known better. Just didn't want a screen for a rimless tank :x

    Thanks, glad to help I was so psyched after making it, soooo easy. No more worrying & I love how it doesn't interfere with my light or the air/gas exchange.
