No I don't have one because it does take out good bacteria. Maybe it is something I should look into as my next purchase.

I just figured that because I do a complete tank maintenance every Saturday that I won't need it, maybe I am wrong.

Thanks!!! Ive been to Union a few times but I always go to eddies just because their live stock is always healthy and the stores really nice (and the closest) but the prices are just way to high...its hard to fill a tank when the cheapest frags they sell are $15 and all you get is a few polyps...I prefer to shop local but i have been ordering offline to save some money...I will check this place in Troy ASAP is sounds perfect!

I picked up a UV to rid my Boxfish of his recurring ick problems. You definitely do not need to run them all the time. If you have one properly sized to the pump its hooked too you'll be able to kill off ick within a few days no problem. Now I run it at any slight sign of parasite. Every month or so I'll spot a few white dots on my Desjardin. I flip the UV on and he is dot free within 24 hours. UV's are the simplest solution. The money you can loose in corals trying to chemically treat in a DT far outweighs the cost of the UV.

For reference I run a Turbotwist 6X(18w) with a 350 GPH canister filter that is probably pulling about 250 GPH due to a neck-down and 90* fitting.

Just ask for Matt and say Casey sent you. You can always negotiate on the price.

Thank you, I will take a look at it and do some research. This could be a good option.

Finally added a 20L sump for my tank. I have a few pounds of LR to the sump, added the lights, skimmer, heater, filter sock. Next step is to finish my doors, add shelfs and mount lights to the bottom of the shelfs.
