I use to go "shrimpin'" in the estuaries and runoffs around Padre Island, Texas. I've since moved to California and very much miss my collecting days. It seems recently they've redefined the state park lands and now my best areas are on protected lands. They would have made me cry if I still lived there. I could even hear the crabs fighting and the egrets would literally come right next to me to see what I was scaring up for them to eat. It was the most beautiful relaxing alone time I've had in my life.

I use to bring home a million pipefish accidently and had to leave them in their native water overnight and return them the next day.

I love living by the ocean.

Tood it really is a skill lol. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but I have been doing it since I was a little kid. But now I can throw the big nets haha.
