    Hello Everyone,

Since I haven't posted any pics in a while I figured I would post some from May when the tank was established and some more up to date pics from today. Things have changed a little.

This was about a month after most of the live rock was added.

This is today, I ended up adding a black background, and removing the Canister filter, putting in a fuge, added several power heads, another set of lights, and adding more live rock to build the back up a bit, also the Coraline has been growing like crazy for about 2 months, most of the glass is covered and the rocks are starting to show nice growth.

Is it normal for clown to change color so much?

Thanks to all the awesome advice that I have read about on 3reef I have only lost 2 fish since I established the tank back in early April , One hippo Tang, and one Green Chromis. The tang was due to a territorial dispute when it was introduced. He didn't have a chance and it was too late to remove him, and the other also died shortly after he was put into the tank. I think he was on his way out though, I had put 4 green chromis in all at the same time, the other three are still thriving.

As I have read, I would estimate 50-100 times on 3reef, the key to success is to Go SLOW, and don't add too much as once.;)

Here are a bunch more pics for your enjoyment..

After all the reading that I have done, I still have one question that I can't seen to find an answer too.

My Wife and I love Cats and Dogs and so far it hasn't been too much trouble keeping Gidget away from the Fish tank,

    But,

How do I keep our 4 cats out of the tank? Or at least all he hair they contunually shed...They just love the heat from the lights.... lol:-/

If anyone has any ideas Please let me know...

Thanks for all the great info, and the help...

    Very nice, thanks for sharing!
As far as the cats go, I found a squirt bottle works best ;) They will learn not to get up there eventually

    Thanks,

As for the cats I think the issue with on is that he likes water a little too much, usually before we got the tanks he would be in the sink letting the water drip on his head, lol

Yes the Clown is still in there, I think that in most of the pics he was in the other bubble tip anemone in the back of the tank, the original split a month or so ago and he goes back and forth between them both.

As for the Yellow Tang, I owe his health largely to Bogie, Thanks for the advice on treatment a while back when he had red streaks, He has been doing well for a month or so now. I have also started soaking his food in garlic a couple times a week and that seems to be helping.

    Thanks Bogie...

A cat that likes water? Preposterous!
What about moving some things around so that the cat doesnt have things to climb up to the tank on? IDK, I have a heck of a time keeping my cat off of things, thank goodness he doesnt go near the tank

Great pics cat! The photograpy is great what camera are you using? (off Fish topic to talk camera) Looks great I have been trying some different angles in our tank to get the full spectrum of the tank. We too have 3 dogs and 2 cats so I know your issue haha. Our cats leave the tank alone but my boxer charges the tank. Its like she wants to play with them!
