Any advice? I'm going to try to remove my clown tang. I want to add other tangs and just don't want to roll the dice on him not attacking them. Any thoughts?

tangs are rediculous to catch if they dont trust you enough to go in a bowl

try a big clear pitcher. I had to sneak up on mine with it and he actually swam into it. May have been luck. I'm not sure.

if were on crazy suggestions you could try a cherry bomb, the concussion will stun the fish, if not it may break the glass so the fish end up on the floor, much easier to catch that way.

on a more serious note that i dont recommend but just showing the option. theres a product called tranquil, it is anesthetic/tranquilizer it claims to be safe for sharks. i have no idea the effect of this on a reef or a tang but it will make catching easier

Here is a pic of something I just built and the thread from where I got the idea. Haven't used it yet, but then again.....I just built it. The intended target is a Coral Beauty with a new found appetite for zoas and mushroom leathers. Can you say STORE CREDIT!!!!????

    Omard's Fishtrap Thread: http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/diy-fishtrap-42442.html

What I built secondary to information from that thread.....just a few days ago in fact.

Nice, I could throw some Nori in there for him. I would need a long container though... lol he's about 5" long.
