Does anyone have a good way to catch these little suckers when you have a tank full of rock? That is without dismantling the tank and rocK?

I'v been trying to catch my damsel for a few months now. I tried everything. I'm going to try putting a divider in the corner of my tank and put food in that area, and when he goes in that section, drop the devider and hope to catch him that way. If you find something that works please let me know.

someone actually suggested a barbless baited hook...sort of like fishing in your tank.....my problem with the dividers is the amount of live rock and I really don't want to take it all out to get at a few problem fish.

I caught my damsels at night waited about three hours or so after the lights went out then i went in with a red light and netted them out. Very sluggish at that point.

I ahve used a baited net to some success. leave a fishnet in the tank for a few days so the fish get used to it, I place it near where they hang out the most and cut back on the damsel feedings during that time. after a few days and right before the lights come on. Pull the nets and bait them. Put them back in and wait. If lucky they enter net for food and you pull them out. If unlucky you did get some intimate time with your tank for those few days.

Ive tried to get my 4-striped damsel out for a long time to no avail. I just knock over my corals and live rock. My damsel is a pain, as it kills any fish I put in the tank other than my Red-lipped blenny and Purple Pseudo. Everything else it has killed as well as Xenia.
