    I imagine if you put a live crab inside as bait, then yes, you could.

    +1 on this method. I caught the two clowns and vlamingi tang I wanted out this way and could have caught many more of my inhabitants if I wanted to as they all swam in for food. I caught one and all the other fish had to come see what was going on and wham got two of them in one shot.

    Sometimes you just need to get lucky and watch / study the fishes behaviors to determine a pattern. Usually, if you time it right, like when the auto feeder goes off for example, you can get smart and lucky with the fish you want to catch.

    Yeah, I tried this with the Rainford Goby but it didn't work. I was going to put a net over the entrance to the rock where he hides a lot. By the time I had the net in the water, he was already inside the rock though. The tang wouldn't come out at all when I was visible. I had to move rocks to get to both of them.

    The cardinal got caught in the middle of the night, which was weird, considering they're probably nocturnal hunters (gigantic eyes compared to other fish their size, and he actually eats at night when I feed corals). I swear he saw what I was doing better than I did.
