buy some filter pads and place it in the tank and leave it for a few days. they will make a nice little home in the pad and them just remove the pad and put it where you want them to go.

You might need to add a drop of phyto or two on the pad when you put it in the tank to help get more in there

+1 to sponges. How are you cultivating them? Keep us updated, it's always interesting to see how people do with pod farms. IIRC, peredhil had a good thread on this.

if you really want to breed pods, you can get a round white shallow dish and get a bottle of pods. Fill the dish with tank water and add the pods to the bowl. Place a piece of sponge in there and leave them be. Every couple of days add a small drop of phyto to feed them. You will see the population rapidly grow. Eventually you will start to see little brown detritus looking stuff at the bottom of the bowl, which is actually the pods shells as they molt. When there is enough of them, take the bowl and swirl it around causing a "whirlpool" when the water settles down, the shells will be in the middle and the pods will be on outside. Then siphon the shells out (if you dont will have a cycle eventually and will see your population go down) then when you are ready to seed the tank, place the sponge in the tank and then place a new sponge in the bowl.
