It probably wont' take that long. Wait 2-3 days, then try fishing. Sometimes a cold beverage helps to pass the time while fishing.

Put a big lionfish in there, or a big angler. ;)

It is pretty hard to starve damsels. Most of them will eat pods, algae, or anything that they can get their hands on. I used to keep some damsels in a puffer tank but they dissapeared after about a month. I wouldn't buy a fish just to have it eat some damsels though.

BB gun? Just be sure to take refraction into account. ;)

Or make a "Figure 4 dead fall" out of live rock. It's a type of animal trapping/survival snare. Where you balance a rock using 3 sticks shaped into a "4", and when the middle stick is touch, down comes rocky. Noted, you're other fish have just as much of a chance of being squished as the damsel does.

I was just kidding. I would try to trap it. My 3 stripe attacks anything that enters the tank, usually my hand or my proscraper stick. When it's the scraper, he wiggles his tail at it, bumps it, bites it, pushes it, you name it. He gets so distracted by that, that he is easily caught with a net, it's pretty funny. My blue devil, now he is a PITA, I have to remove my rocks when it comes time to put him in my other tank next week.

I catch my fish with a big Zip-lock bag . Maybe have your ziplock in the water and add some food so they go to the top and then slowly snatch it (I would catch my chromis easily like that). But fishing for it would work too.

Your best bet is to trap it somehow. What all have you tried so far?
