In a failed attempt to catch a pistol shrimp I ended up catching a white furry crab last night using a inverted bottle trap . I'm wondering what I should do with it? Any suggestions?

I agree. It's either good or bad. Why the pistol?

Send him to me! White and furry sounds like a teddy bear crab. Not reef safe.

Thanks for the replys! I'll take a picture of it when I get home from work as it is still on the bottle. But I agree with Stepho, looks like a Teddy Bear crab.

He never gave me any problems but I might end up getting some corals in the near future. As for the Pistol that I want to trap. He makes this loud popping sounds that I hear almost every night and also makes alot of holes under my LR.

I called my lfs and they said they will take him. I'm not sure what they're gonna do with him though. Here are the pics of the furry little creature.

Good luck trying to catch the pistol shrimp. You will probably end up tearing apart your rock work to get it out. I couldn't get mine out until I was tearing down the tank. Was the pistol a hitchhiker or did you add him?

Yea, he's a hitchhiker. I'm either going to do like you said and tear apart my rocks to catch him or maybe add a goby hoping that they pair up.
