Caulastrea propagation question

    It will branch off the main skeleton as the polyps split.

    So, it will grow in size and number of polyps, but really won't spread?

    It won't really encrust, if that's what you're asking. It kind of grows like a bush, if that makes sense.

    I'll try to get a before and after shot of mine when I get off work so you can what it started as and how it looks today.

    Edit: and yes, the number of polyps well increase as they split.
