It was in the fuge with 24/7 lighting... I went to the place where i bought it today, and theres is still looking perfect with minimal lighting, (freshwater bulbs) The weird part is, the peices that broke off and are laying seem to have survived, and the stuff that was attaches to the liverock is dead. There is a leafy looking growth that is growing fast and looks really good.. Im not sure what it is called. I tried to get as much of the dead caulerpa out as possible a little while ago, but it is disintegrating. I hope it doesnt harm anything..

Looks like Halemedia, a calciforos plant. If calcium is low, it will usually recede. If your tank is very low in phosphates and nitrates, macr algaes, caulerpa, will also recede.

I have just a touch of cyano in my refugium and it is taking up most of the phosphates and nitrates so my feather caulerpa is very thin at the moment. The lack of Ps and Ns is a good thing for sure!

That picture is the stuff that survived. The rest died off, which was pictured on page 1. My calcium is high and my phosphates are about .5-1ppm, nitrates about 40-50

I tend to agree with the Iron deficiency theory here. It sounds like there was plenty of food for the macroalgae so something was missing and Iron seems to be the logical choice.
