    does it need 24 hour light in a refugium? just need to know before i go to bed lol :eek:

    Nothing need nor can live Long working 24/7 Put it on a reverse photo period from the tank and give it 1 before the tank goes off the fuge comes on then the fuge goes dark and hr after the main tank goes light's on.

    Due to light on refugium being bust can i let the light go out the same as the tank tonight?

    It won't help keep the P.H during the night as thats when a plant up takes its food CO2 and at night they give off their waste Oxygen.. thats why they work best on Reverse timers

    sorry to ask the same question again but will it matter or not(just for tonight) if the lights on the refugium go out the same time as the tank?


    Its not going to kill every think in the tank is it?

    NO just don't do it to often or long .. Just one night won't matter

    Thanks Tangster. At the advice of Otty, I turn my fuge lights on an hour before the tank's lights go off. Maybe he got that advice from you. I had it backwards in the a.m. . I had the fuge staying on an hour after the tank's lights come on. I'm glad I read this post.

    Otty said lights on in the fuge an hour before tank lights go off; maybe to get the macro algae in the fuge "primed" first. Is there a reason to have the fuge go dark for an hour before the tank's lights come back on? (As opposed to just having the fuge go dark at the same time the tank lights come back on?)
