CBB almost killed itself....

the little piggy beasted on a piece of large squid, it got stuck in its mouth and part of it was coming out of its right gill. i was able to net her fairly easily (bad sign) and was able to tweeze the piece out of its gill but she still seems a little lethargic.... . what else can i do? there doesnt seem to be any more food stuck in her mouth or gill.

 

hmmm she seems to slowly be going back to her pecking-roaming self....*fingers crossed*

Glad to hear she's ok. FTR, I've never heard of a fish 'choking'. Had a Dusky Wrasse once that done the same thing constantly- he always grabbed the largest chunk of squid, then spent several minutes raking and smacking it against a rock until it finally went down. lol

 

this had me tripping cus it was coming out of its gill, never seen it before

 

so glad she is ok!
