I currently have a CBS in a 40 gallon tank... would it be safe to add a peppermint shrimp to the same tank? I am currently battling aiptasia and I am hoping that a peppermint shrimp would work.

    Bad idea.
Personally, I tried 3 peppermint shrimp for aiptasia in my tank and they didnt do anything to them anyways. Just get some joe's juice and be done with it ;)

I've been using kalk paste and they melt away, the bad thing is they come back. Not in the same spot, but on that side of the tank. I'm fixing to try the lemon juice. You won't know what will work with your tank, until you try it. Kalk paste is found in any grocery store or lhs and it's called Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime. It's really cheap and the container will last you forever. I found some two years ago in Wally world for 25 cents each. they were seasonal and the season was over. Might want to try there too. Good luck and let us know which route you tank.

I had good luck with my two peppermint shrimp eating aiptasia. I did not have any large ones though. I have heard of CBS being aggressive towards peppermints as well.
