    Mine is under a 2 bulb T5 (other two are down:-/) at 1.5 ft and it loves it. It is a Tyree Blue Something or Other and when exposed to higher light the polyps turn gunmetal gray it SWEET!

    Unlike T5, T8 bulbs are pretty much useless, especially for a monti.

    The only type of bulbs I found matching what the OP said they had, were T8.

    Apparently he has had many corals in the past and a nem so my guess is PC

    I went through his threads and didn't see anything about corals. Only thing I found was him having issues with keeping nems.

    From what he said about the bulb info, they are not PC bulbs, but T8. This would explain his issues with keeping nems alive.

    Would be nice if the OP stopped by.
