Anyone ever used this stuff to get light scratches out of the front glass. I got this tank used and didn't see the scratches until I got it home and started cleaning it up. It has a ton of light scratches. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1434327115.920707.jpg

    Sounds like a buffing compound.

Well yeah. Lol. I read if you use 3000 grit diamond powder and then buff with the cerium oxide it works pretty good. Didn't notice these scratches until I got home with the tank.

I've never heard of using it. I guess it can't really hurt at this point lol

If the scratches are on the inside you may not notice them much. Might try filling it first and see what it looks like.

I filled it and I didn't notice them that much but there was no light on it. I read that the algae that grows on the glass will fill in the scratches and it's hard to get it out.

My new 120 has a lot of small scratches on the inside that you can't see when full, oddly enough.

I wonder if you can fill it with a silica gel like Hanna sells for their cuvvett?

Hard to tell, but it's bad in spots.
