    Hi,

    Just a question regarding which is the best CF bulb combinations to use for my 55 gal mostly LPS tank. I am using the coralife CF canopy using 4 21" straight pins. LPS's: open brains, donuts, torch, candy canes, a few softies.

    you will have some problems using power compact lighting, they are known to not be the best and are pretty inefficient. i believe the best are the ones with the built in reflectors. and these still arent much of a step up from normal flourescent lighting. go t5 for lps.

    I have been running CF's for this tank and many others with a variety of LPS's and softies for many years without a hitch. In fact they have always done well.

    If you think T5's are better which system or brand do you recommend.
