    today i went to get a new tank with sump and the guy gave us some chaeto.. the tanks empty and theres some chaeto and live sand in a 5 gal bucket.. should we have the little light for the chaeto on 24/7?

    You don't need your light on for 24 hours 10-12 hours will be good enough

    ive ran a light on my chaeto for months and its grown like weeds. however, today i was told its probably better to run them reverse from my display tank.

    a small florecent light will keep chato going strong. Its an easy grow stuff!

    i would run it on a reverse light cycle of the dt to help with nighttime ph

    Running a reverse cycle does help offset the ph swing; the lack of photosynthesis during night causes.
