chaeto in display tank

    Is it safe to put chaeto in my tank with my live rock? I don't have a fuge so I was going to put some in the tank.

    It shouldnt hurt anything so long as it doesnt get caught in any pumps, overflows, etc...

    it might not look so pleasing either.

    You certainly can. I would try and hide it behind some rockwork (but still get light obviously).

    I decided not to put the algae in the tank. It doesn't look good at all. Thanks for the response guys.

    I have a little clump of Chaeto in my DT behind some Mangroves and rock, and it's barely noticeable.

    You could try to contain it in something but getting proper flow and light can be tricky,HOB refugium would be better.

    Red Gracilaria is much prettier. herbivores will eat it too
