Hey everyone I was wondering what would be the best way to cook my chaeto if I have it in my compartment of my biocude. the outside back of the aquarium is see through so I could have a light on the back but what light is best? and most effective?

Any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

I have the same tank, Bio cube 14g and I started using a GU10 led with 3x3w leds and my cheat grows pretty quick, It will fill the compartment and start growing out of the water. I pulled enough out to lightly fill a gallon zip lock.

ebay gu10 cool white seems to work good, There easy to wire up and work great!

I just spent a total of $9 on Ebay on a MR16 3W cool white LED bulb, connector, and 12V power supply. If it works like it should, then definitely a nice cheap and effective bio-cube 'fuge light :) I hope to have everything for this weekend to get it wired up.

I think the mr16 are the same as the gu10 just a different style of connector, I used eggcrate and made a little "L" bracket and cut out a hole so the light housing would fit snug and used a few drops of crazy glue to hold it in place. Then just placed so that the light shined in through the rear glass.
