My chaeto is due for a trimming. Is there any specific way to ship this stuff, say for instance I was going sell it. I was thinking of just bagging it with some water, adding air, rubber banding it off and boxing it with some bubble wrap and away it goes. Can it be shipped standard, I dont think over nighting it is necessary is it?

Its usually shipped wrapped in a wet paper towel in a zip loc bag, no need to fill the bag with water if the towel is soaked in saltwater and sealed well.

I think standard shipping will be ok. Maybe put some newspaper in there to help insulate it, specially if it is going somewhere south. :)

I've gotten chaeto shipped quite a few times by USPS Flat Rate boxes, and it's been fine.

lol I just received chaeto from another member and it took over two weeks to get here. If you look at my location ... you'll see that it had a long way to come from Washington lol.

The chaeto did fine, and is thriving now ... unbelievable.

Based on what I've seen ... I'd say you got nothing to worry about shipping anywhere in the continental US
