One of my hermits must have knocked my chalice onto my torch coral over night...the damage was surprising to me. Think it will make a comeback??

Your trumpet/candycane coral (Not chalice) Has gotten a good stinging, a few polyps look unharmed and it hopefully will make a recovery.

yea the branches that are full on white skeleton probably wont come back but the others should be fine. I hate when stuff like that happens

Anyone find chalice to be aggressive. (Chemical warfare wise). I had a trumpet close to a chalice and the part that was closest completely died off. I've since moved it and its the first time I've had an issue with coral aggression if in fact that's what it was.

It likely was aggression, but doubtful it was chemical. I'm willing to bet the sweepers came out one night.

yeah this chalice does have long sweepers, although in this case it was leaning directly on the trumpet....pretty crazy its like it sucks all the life out of the coral..this trumpet has been growing like crazy too hopefully the heads spread back out over the skeleton!
